Pokoloko supports the Women Makers of Peru, Women's Artisan Cooperative of Peru, Ecuadorian Artisan Studio, and the Artisand and Basket Weavers of Bali.

Women Makers of Peru

No machines. No chemicals. This artisan collective preserves ancestral Andean fibre techniques that includes dyeing fibres with locally harvested materials. Purple corn, onion husks and cochineal shells (a cactus-eating invasive insect) are used in the making of the coloured alpaca balls they provide.

Women's Artisan Cooperative of Peru

Beginning in 2006, 3 sisters came together with a shared mission to bring economic opportunities to the women in a township of Peru. These talented women are living in vulnerable communities having been internally displaced from guerilla warfare or from domestic violence.

Ecuadorian Artisan Studio

Nestled in the Northern Andes Mountains, here lives the young couple along with their small team of family and friends who make this artisanal Ecuadorian collection. Our relationship with the couple dates back to 2013, when Case (one of the founders) first met them traveling on a trip through South America.

Artisans of Bali

Since 2015, this group of artisans has been directly sourcing the natural materials cultivated by locals to create their craft - resulting in a sustainable and circular economy for the artisans and the environment. Their work provides socio-economic value for small-scale artisans with access to the global market that Bali is known for. They are kind, humble, and exceptionally talented to work with.

Bamboo Weavers of Bali

Based in Bali, Indonesia - also known as the Island of the Gods; these artisans are surrounded by hills and mountains, gorgeous and rugged coastlines and beaches, rice fields and barren volcanic hills. This environment is rich with colours, a spiritual and historical culture and inspiration from both the region and the range of tourists who pass through.
